Mid-City Babysitters

Hi, I’m Almira! I’m new to LA from Virginia / DC area. I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in December 2019 with a degree in Public Relations & Business. I have over 14 years of experience when it comes to working with kids. I began babysitting children in my neighborhood at 13 years old. I have experience babysitting young newborns/infants as young as 10 weeks old, twins, and up to four children at once. I am able to prepare meals, bathe them, change diapers, play/arts and crafts, and put them to bed. I was also a gymnastics instructor in my hometown and taught gymnastics to kids aged 1-14 years old. I taught gymnastics for over 4 years; and worked with a range of children, including special needs kids. I received a CPR certification through this position & safety is my #1 priority at all times! I also am a huge animal lover, have reliable transportation, and am very flexible so I will respond to last minute requests!

Hi I’m Esther a former Registered Behavioral Technician that worked with autistic children and now I’m a student focusing on my education. Here’s a little bit about myself: I grew up in a big family so I always had to take care of my little siblings and cousins. I enjoy being around children, I’m passionate about providing quality care for them. When babysitting I love engaging in fun activities that can promote creativity and learning. Fun fact I make music in my spare time :) I have about 7 years of experience babysitting professionally, from infants - 12 year olds. I am a very reliable, trustworthy, caring, and responsible person. I love being a babysitter because I truly just love working with kids/being around them. I get along with them well as they do with me, and I’m able to have some type of natural motherly figure with them as well. I love to help them in any ways they need to grow as a person or in specific needs for them. I have babysat since I was coming in my teen years with toddlers up to middle school children and have even taken care of my baby cousins with bathing, changing diapers, feeding, playing- over 10 years total. I was also a Registered Behavior Technician for a year, working with kids one-on-one of all types of ages with developmental disabilities - toddler to high school- working in the homes and schools, including daycare. I have also mentored kids at a middle school as well. Within babysitting, I have been able to drive kids to and from school or sport practices. I am able to help kids with their homework, chores, etc. as well as teach good manners. I enjoy doing fun activities with them as well - anything they enjoy, including sports, drawing, playing with toys, etc. I have also had the CPR certification in past.
