Hey, parents! I’m Maria Clara, 27years old. I’m a former aupair. I’m bilingual, I speak Portuguese and English, currently I’m learning Spanish. I live in Hyde Park so I would love to babysit for families in the area.

As a mother of a 23-year-old son who recently left for college out of state, I’ve spent the last two decades fully immersed in the world of parenting, caregiving, and supporting children’s growth and development. Throughout my son’s childhood, I was the dedicated “team mom,” field trip chaperone, classroom volunteer, and enthusiastic attendee at every school event and activity. Before my son was born, and for several years afterward, I worked with both school-age children and daycare programs on military bases in Florida and New Mexico. Over the years, I’ve also provided babysitting care for friends and families who needed support, whether for work commitments or a well-deserved night out. As a parent, I understand how important routines, nutrition, and family preferences are. When my son was younger, I maintained a structured schedule and paid close attention to his dietary needs due to health considerations. I know that every child and every family is different, and I always strive to respect household routines, dietary restrictions, and parenting styles. I also believe that with a little creativity, kids can still have plenty of fun while staying within their family’s guidelines and preferences. One of the biggest lessons parenthood taught me is that while we can plan for everything, children often have plans of their own! I pride myself on staying calm, patient, and resourceful when unexpected situations arise. My goal is always to handle minor issues independently so parents can enjoy their time away with confidence and peace of mind. Of course, I also understand when a situation warrants reaching out, and I will always communicate when I believe a parent would want to be informed. I hold an undergraduate degree in Psychology with a particular interest in child and adolescent behavior and development. I genuinely enjoy spending time with children, engaging them in age-appropriate activities, encouraging their curiosity and creativity, and creating a safe, positive, and fun environment where they feel comfortable and supported.

Hi, I’m Caitlin! I graduated from the University of Tampa with a degree in nursing in May 2024 and began my career as an ICU nurse in July 2024. I work night shift full time, but when I am not working I love to babysit! During nursing school, I completed a pediatric rotation where I learned more how to care for children in the hospital setting. I love working with kids, as I have been babysitting since I was 16 years old. I have experience working at a daycare for 3 years during my college summer breaks. At the daycare, I was responsible for watching up to 15 kids at once ranging from ages 1-12yrs old. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have! :)
