Hi! My name is Yolanda, and I’m a 20-year-old Nursing major at LIU Brooklyn aspiring to become a Pediatric Nurse. I currently work as an afterschool teacher leading Pre-K and Kindergarten classes, and I have experience with children from 6 months old up to middle school. I’ve also worked as an English tutor, summer counselor, and supervisor. I’m fully up to date on all vaccinations and complete annual health screenings through my nursing program and childcare work. I am CPR, First Aid, BLS certified from the AHA. Certification is available upon request. I love working with kids and supporting them with patience, empathy, and positive reinforcement. I enjoy arts and crafts, singing Disney songs, reading stories, and I have a performing arts background in dance. I also have experience working with children with special needs. I’m available anytime after 6-7PM, including late evenings, and I’m very comfortable with bedtime routines. I’m happy to help with light housekeeping and pets as well.
