I am a 27 year old working young lady! I come from a huge family so I have a plethora of babysitting experience, as well as caring for children in different settings. I’ve worked as a behavioral therapist for children on the spectrum, a 5th grade teacher, and watching after little ones when their parents need a break. Hello! I'm Maria Fernanda. I recently graduated from Queens University of Charlotte with a degree in Biology, minors in Psychology and Spanish, and a premed track. For over two years, I’ve had the privilege of working as a nanny to three wonderful girls, gaining valuable hands-on experience in childcare. In addition to my nanny work, I teach a lively Sunday school class of 12 four-year-olds, which has further honed my patience and teaching skills. Currently, I'm completing my first year of fellowship while studying for the MCAT, with plans to apply to medical school this upcoming cycle. I’m babysitting to help fund my application process, gather study materials, and give my brain a healthy break. I’m excited to share my love for childcare with more families who appreciate a nurturing and engaging environment for their children. I have no allergies, love pets of all kinds, and thrive on being active, exploring creative crafts, and enjoying outdoor play—ensuring a fun and enriching experience for kids of all ages!

I’m a huge lover of the gym, all things outside, my sweet floofy puppies Hampton and Hollis, yoga, friends and family. I am a professional nanny so I’m with kids all day long. I have been nannying for nearly 15 years. I love to be outside—activities where we can be outside are a favorite of mine (walks, biking, water play, etc). I’ve been in Charlotte since moving here after finishing up my MBA in 2016. I’m currently in the Dilworth area and would love to find some families in the area who need weekend help. I’ve worked with babies from 2 weeks old all the way up to 15 year old children. I look forward to connecting and helping you out with your date night/special occasion needs. I am also available for overnight babysitting as I have helped several families who travel frequently with these needs as well. **IMPORTANT INFO PRIOR TO BOOKING** I have a 4 hours minimum requirement for booking me. Please be conscious when booking me and cancelling last minute. When this occurs it does not allow for me to fill this time with another family.
