I am currently a Montessori school teacher for toddlers age 2-4 in Steiner Ranch. Before this, while I was in school I was a nanny for several years for three different families for two newborns and a 4 year old. I worked for boys and girls club and also as a substitute teacher all throughout college and I’ve always know that working with children in any capacity brought me joy! Hello my name is Jasmine! I’m originally from Seattle Washington & moved to Austin about 6 years ago. I’m currently working as a preschool teacher & I absolutely love having the opportunity to work with children! I have several years of experience working with children (ages 0-13). I have been an assistant childcare coordinator, an assistant preschool teacher at Bright Horizons & Guidepost Montessori, and I have been a babysitter and nanny to many families in the Austin, TX area as well as my hometown in Washington state. I am CPR and First Aid certified. I have a clean/safe driving record, I am a non-smoker, and I have all of my shots up to date. I was a swimmer and can teach children how to swim, and I also have been a tutor for 4 years. Homework help will not be a problem! I am also a pet sitter so pets will also not be an issue. I am a positive, loving, caring, punctual, mature, and engaging caregiver. I have great communication skills as well as manners. I am so passionate to work with children and help them learn and grow. I do like to plan activities for the kids while I am caring for them. Crafts, healthy snacks/meals, educational activities, and sometimes something outdoors like taking them to a park/playground. I have a lot of experiences with children either at Elementery School as former paraeducator and worker at child care or as a mother. Two of my favorite courses while taking my degree on "Marriage and Family" was Child Development and Parenting. Beside my career, I like doing babysit and translation on my free time.

I’m a mom with a 10 year old daughter and a professional event planner! I lived and traveled all around the world for 6 years before settling in Austin with my daughter. I started babysitting when I was 11 years old (what a different time it was in the 90s!) for friends of family. It’s something I did off and on all through high school as well as working my fast food job. More recently—from 2016-2018 while being a SAHM, I nannied for two families while living in Dublin, Ireland. I’m still close friends with those families even though I’m back in the States. One of the families had toddler twins who didn’t speak English at the time! I have an MA in Cultural Anthropology and I worked as a museum specialist until I moved abroad. I’m looking to take on more babysitting work while I get my own event business started! I read a good story and like board games.
