Hi there! My name is Karla and I’m 36 years old. I am a professional nanny turned nursing student with over 8 years of full-time experience and 15+ years childcare experience. I would love to help you out during the day when I’m not in class, on the weekend, or for date night! A little about my experience...I have cared for my non-verbal Autistic younger brother since he was born (he turns 20 this summer!). I was a babysitter through high school and a summer camp counselor for 5 consecutive summers in my early 20s for kiddos from 3rd grade-junior high ages. I have experience with every age group from premie newborns, to temperamental toddlers, to explorer 5 year olds, all the way through middle school kids!

My first job in Dallas was a Nanny to a 2 year old boy and I worked with the family for 12 years (he is now in his 40s and we still keep in touch). Since then I've worked with many other lovely families. I am friendly, dependable, honest, and adaptable to different household environments/dynamics.

I am currently getting my certification as an NCS (Newborn Care Specialist.) I truly enjoy treating children as if they are my own, in a nurturing environment. I’m a college student pursuing a career in Family Medicine/Pediatrics. I’ve always loved working with children and have been able to volunteer at my church’s children’s ministry.
