I grew up in the Baton Rouge area, moved here for school, and am now a licensed clinical social worker. Over the years, I’ve formed lasting relationships with many local families and love getting to watch my littles grow… some have even outgrown needing a sitter! During the day I work in postpartum mental health- but I enjoy caring for littles on the side. I’m a big believer in the power of play, and spend most of my jobs on the floor with kids as they lead us in creative play. Happy to also help with bathing, diapering, bottle/meal prep, pet care, etc. I’m comfortable with newborns on up and have experience with multiples. Fully up to date on vaccines (Tdap, flu, Covid) and CPR certification (Red Cross). I also enjoy working with out of town families- if you’re staying at a hotel, I’m happy to bring games and activities to entertain the kids. I’m currently available evenings and weekends. My name is Rachel. I am 27 years old and currently live in New Orleans. I am currently completing my Master’s in Clinical Anatomy at Tulane University. I have my BS in Neuroscience with a concentration in childhood development and graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2020. I have worked in many labs as a research assistant studying infant language development and childhood behavior. I started babysitting when I was 10 years old for various neighbors and friends of the family. After graduating, I continued working as a nanny and tutor while preparing for my future career path in healthcare.
