Community Coordinator Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic, driven, and community-oriented individual to join our team as a Community Coordinator. As a coordinator, you will leverage your extensive community connections and exceptional networking skills to build and maintain a robust network of parents and babysitters. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that families in our community have access to trusted childcare options.
This contracted role can be done remotely and during hours that work best for you. Successful Community Coordinators dedicate between 5 – 10 hours a week to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
– Community Outreach: Actively engage with local parents, schools, organizations, and community groups to promote our babysitting service and recruit both babysitters and families looking for childcare.
– Networking: Utilize your strong networking skills to continuously expand our pool of qualified babysitters and families who need babysitting services.
– Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with local parents and babysitters, ensuring they feel supported and valued as part of our community network.
– Events and Workshops: Plan and host community events, informational sessions, and workshops to introduce our services and facilitate connections among parents and babysitters.
– Matchmaking: Assist parents in finding suitable babysitters based on their specific needs and preferences, ensuring a good fit for both parties.
– Support and Mediation: Provide ongoing support to both parents and babysitters, addressing any concerns or issues that arise to maintain a positive and trusting community environment.
– Community Involvement: Stay actively involved in local events, activities, and initiatives to continuously build and strengthen our community presence.
Qualifications:
– Strong connections and active involvement within the local community.
– Proven networking and relationship-building skills.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
– Driven, proactive, and self-motivated attitude.
– Ability to organize and manage events effectively.
– Empathy and understanding towards the needs of parents and children.
– Previous experience in community engagement, childcare services, or related fields is a plus.
