Every Sitter Meets Rigorous Standards Before Connecting with Families
Sex Offender Background Check
Every Parent and Sitter on Bambino is screened through the Family Watchdog sex-offender registry. Anyone flagged is immediately blocked from the platform.
Phone & Carrier Verification
We use trusted technology partners (Telesign + Twilio) to verify phone numbers and block burner or VoIP lines—ensuring every user has a traceable, valid mobile number.
Identity
Confirmation
Sitters complete an identity check through Stripe Identity*, including Social Security verification, to confirm they are who they say they are.
Community
Recommendation
Before a profile goes live, every Sitter must be recommended by someone in the Bambino community. These genuine endorsements from Parents and Sitters ensure each new Sitter starts with a foundation of trust.
Criminal Background Checks & Ongoing Monitoring**
Sitters who earn a background-check badge complete county, state, and national screenings through Checkr. Elite Sitters also receive continuous monitoring, with real-time alerts and automatic re-checks if new records appear.
*Stripe Identity is a secure, third-party verification platform used by leading marketplaces to confirm user identities and reduce fraud.
**Due to reporting restrictions, background checks may contain incomplete information and cannot be guaranteed to reflect a person’s full criminal or sex offender history.
